Last Friday was city-wide electronics recycling. If you know anything about us at all, we always are on the cutting edge of technology both at home and the office, so it was time for a huge clean out of both places, especially with the changes we have upcoming.
I talked up the recycling to the two employees and about the need for us to keep heavy metals out of the landfill. We already recycle cardboard, aluminum and plastic at home and the office as well, so this was not hard for them to wrap their minds around.
Clark worked and worked gathering up oldies but goodies. It was also the push we needed replace our circa 1983 microwave that had been blowing the circuit.
Today Regency Distribution got a certificate of destruction & recycling in the mail. Here's what it said:
"It is hereby certified that 1,234 lbs. of metal, plastic and glass computer housing and peripheral equipment were received. This material was processed and sent on to an appropriate recycling end market by Atlanta Recycling Solutions to be manufactured into recycled content products."
Next time you think you don't need to recycle, weigh it!
