After looking at the falls, we stopped at Unicoi and trekked around the lake.

It was a gray day but still nice to get outside after all the rain we've had this winter.
Sunday afternoon we headed over to Raven Cliffs. Len & Betsy hadn't hiked there yet.

They still haven't! SR 348 was closed.
We turned around and decided to check out Smithgall Woods. The trail we decided on was called Martin's Mine. The visitors center provided us with an interpretive guide which was pretty educational and we learned about gold mining along the hike.

Dukes Creek has plenty of water and we saw several fisherman who said they were having some luck.

This deep hole is an old mine shaft.

Clark got closest to the waterfall. I didn't press my luck on the rocks, it was too cold for a dip.

We'll hike this park more, it's close to home and there are several more trails on the property.
