We spent the weekend at the new cabin, Moose Hollow, upgrading it to Burnt Dog standards. While it was fully furnished with nice cabin furniture, the kitchenware left a lot to be desired. We trekked down to Flowery Branch and Oakwood, 45 minutes away Saturday after the Dish Network installer left, loaded up the goods at Sam's, Ross, TJ, WalMart & Home Depot and headed back north to commence with the small Mr. Fix It projects for Clark and kitchen organization for me.
We had hoped to be done in time to go check out the not yet open to the public state park right down the road from the cabins, Buck Shoals State Park. They had a program that night called Bats, Bugs and Meteors. Was probably pretty cool but we had work to be done.
Sunday after working more at the cabin, we aborted the idea to ride at Dauset on the way home, so the mountain bikes got to SEE the mountains, but didn't get to ride in the mountains. Not this trip.
Monday we were back at work, feeling blue, as we always do to come back to Albany, and as we were getting ready for lunch, there were plain clothes police officers all in our area, badges and guns ready. Winds up the corner Petro store had just gotten held up!
Later found out the robber had no gun, but hasn't been caught.
All is good in Albany. We can proudly say that we brew PBR here!
